    electrical connection

hi all, i have a 1990 y60 tb42 on gas. at the bottom rear of the radiator, near the AT transmission line to radiator, i have an electrical connector, unconnected that's been that way since i bought the car. anyone know what it is? it seems to connect immediately below or as part of the AT line. could it be a temp / thermal sensor of some sort, in which case, can i hook up a guage to it to read AT fluid temps? thanks for your help.

hmmmm? i doubt it. more likely a Thermal sensor for the Radiator. Not familiar with an Auto car but the GQ run a Thermal cutoff in the radiator for the Aircon. If the Radiator gets hot it cuts out the Aircon from running and de stresses the engine.

I reckon it is likely a coincidence that it is near the Auto line??? Does the auto take cooling from the radiator??? Surely not? that will run its own cooler in front of the radiator yes??

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I think MudRunners on the money. On the TD42s it is used to switch the Air conditioning off if the engine temperature get to high. I don't think it is used on the TB42s.
