Hard clutch
Hi guys, how are you all? My mechanic has just fitted a safari tuff clutch into my 1990 ford maverick TB42 and it is so hard to press… Trying to work out what can be done to make it softer… The clutch master cylinder is filled to the line and there are no leaks… Should I check anything else or can I get something to make it softer?

i beleive they have a vacuum assisted clutch, so they should already have a booster on them. make sure that the mechanic has hooked all the lines up as it should still be easy to operate. with mine the clutch is very hard to press with car off - but is very easy with it running as there is vacuum pressure helping. hope that helps a bit...

some do some don't have a clutch booster standard.
mine didn't and i was advised to use the pink sport exedy clutch as the safari would be too heavy on the pedal with no booster.
