2 seat conversion legalities?
Hey guys
Wondering If I would need a blue plate to do a 2 seat conversion on my 3 seater ute?
Would it be similar to removing the far rear seats out of a wagon or is it another kettle of fish?

I would say so, because you are altering it from the manufacturers specifications. Give a govt dept over there a ring, or a garage that does vehicle examinations. They should be able to tell you.
May be in the same predicament shortly.

I could be wrong here but as you dont have to actually modify anything to fit and there are models which came out with 2 seats ( they will bolt straight in all mounting holes are there for console and everything) then you may not need one. Give dave metcalfe a call he is at morayfield and does all this sort of stuff and is a certified examiner.
