Hey Rudda32 it was $660 with out a bung plug the extra $30.00 seemed a bit high for a bung plug but i thought bugger it saved me doing it later and id never done one before but it looks an easy job to do yourself
Theres only one thing tougher than my truck............. YES DEAR GOING TO DO THE LAWNS NOW

Upate on exhaust after doing just on 12000 k run the note from the exhaust just got sweeter and the car still surprises me with how it runs

Yep, the 3" exhaust for the 2.8 is probably the best mod to do (easily).
The next best mod is to get a diesel chip!

Nah mate, gearbox is fine. Two mates have the 2.8 and the first (and so far only) mod has been the chip. One mate had it on a switch and he can turn it on or off.

Just about to buy a 2.8 guys, thanks for all the info - was looking to do the exhaust and a chip, will add the EGR and an EGT to that list as well. Also heard that a thermo fan on the intercooler can help, any thoughts?

the 2.8s have a fan fitted under the intercooler as standard there are 2 plugs conectors to if you unplug the one that connects to the top of the intercooler fan will run all the time
