Looking good mate. can you post another pick of the HiMount winch showing detail of the Drum end? is that a Freespool of some description or just a bearing end home made or something. Its clearly done some work and has a 6HP motor on it and extended Drum so keen to see what else.
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!
....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!
Check out my Toy -->

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.

Hey mate honestly don't know much about the winch I know it has a 6hp motor extended drum i think the bloke made it his self as he was a boiler maker and it has a pinned free spool.

Kool. Yeah looks like a crude bearing end but it would work great and reduce the friction. Can you show me the brake shaft too.

The break clutch thing has a bit of movement in it so I think that might need replacing.

Look at that! That's a cracker mate. Grease nipple on your bearing end. I like it. The brake assembly is on a taper shaft and is supposed to be loose when not engaged. The brake shaft is standard on that winch and has not been upgraded and sghou I'd be considered the weakest link. Clearly done some work. Should serve you well.
