    No 2nd gear

    I have a 92 GQ auto.
It appears I have no 2nd gear. It goes from 1st to third and I have to get the revs up to get it into third.
    The tranmission fluid is fine.
Does anyone have an idea what to try first before I take it to the mechanics?
    Thanks.

    Clive.

Sounds like an issue I had in my old Hilux, turned out to be the syncro's when I had it looked at. I personally would be heading to the mechanics
Seemed like a good idea at the time

May have snapped the band or the adjuster has come loose probably best to take it to a auto tranny shop. Does it have 4th gear?

Might be best to drop by an auto specialist and get them to check it out you might be lucky and the band adjuster came loose.
