New owner of a Patrol
Hi My name is Gene Kincaid. I live in Bray Park, Queensland. A few weeks ago I bought a 1998 Patrol. It has a 4.5 Litre petrol Engine. It is a TI with Auto Trans & I just found out today-Climate Control. I have a 2007 Commodore wagon with a 3rd seat that holds 3 kids. I am selling it to my daughter who has 5 kids. They are getting to big to fit in it with my wife and I so I bought the patrol that will fit 7 adults. I must say it is the first 4 wheel drive I have ever owned and I love it. I am a Yank that is married to an Aussie & I have lived here since March 1984. I retired out of the U.S Air force in 1Feb 1984 after 22.5 years. I love Australia too. My wife Sue & I just bought a bigger Jayco and we are looking forward to seeing more of Australia and being able to spend a few days there without it costing us an arm and a leg.
Gene

Welcome Gene! There are a few other grandfathers on the forum including myself and I also drive a 4.5 TI.
Have a search through the forum and you'll find tips on how to better prepare your auto trans for towing.
Your climate control actually has a 2nd evaporator for the rear passengers.
I'm glad the reply you got in the other thread didn't frighten you away. Some jump to conclusions too quickly..
