Fixed side windows to replace the rusty sliders on a shorty GQ
About 18 months ago I asked this question:
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...ing-windows-GQ
and it generated a bit of discussion and I got a contact to these guys in QLD:
http://myworld.ebay.com.au/autoglass...84.m1439.l2754
I rang them and discussed the issue I had but sat on the information, checking eBay every now and then and this thread brought it back to mind:
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...Shorty-Windows
and I bought these:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/251011717...9#ht_668wt_961
Turned up today and I intended to sit on them for a while.
I opened them up to check to make sure they were correct and then started checking out the rusty frames on the car. Gave them a little tug to see how hard they would be to get off and be blowed they almost fell off in my hands. Well, that meant I had to do something about the hole in the side of the car. (it's raining here and it doesn't have undercover parking) Long story short I managed to get one in with a bit of struggling and fiddling about.
I'll do the other one in a few days and put some pictures up and some more detailed hints on what I've found to make it easier.
Pretty pleased with the result.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
