Fitting water temp gauge to ZD30
Any one have a suggestion where to fit the water temp sender unit for a temp gauge, thnaks

Some just tuck it back under the top hose, others with copper radiators silver solder a nut to top tank.
Not sure on the ZD30 where the best spot is to take temp, side of block etc,etc, Newby would have a better idea
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

As close the the thermostat as possible. To as TD said in the top hose at the radiator, or on the engine side of the radiator.

Thanks to you both, have decided to drill and tap the thermostat housing cover and fit the sender there.

Use grease where you're drilling it will catch the filings, or are you removing housing from motor?

How did you go with the drilling and tapping, need to do this myself shortely ?
Anyone know the size of the top radiator hose so I can buy one of those inline fitting if need be?
