I've been tossing up the idea of one of these, but the Ryobi type. How have you found it compared to the gas touch..

Its hard to compare as its been a while since using the gas torch unit, but it heats up very quickly and is variable temperature. The tip is a blade style and you can purchase pointed and larger block configurations I believe. Its just an option and made sense since I carry the batteries for the chainsaw anyway. I find the gas unit is so small it tends to get lost in the pile of stuff in the spare parts box.

That is nice stuff. Site says it takes 13 weeks to manufacture, thats enough to drive someone's anxiety through the roof haha. The heat exchanger with the fans will be top mount or front?

The wife wanted to make her car look good, she's been with me for 25 odd years and it's rub off.

SSSL (lowest you can get) all round with 20x8.5 and 20x9.5 Walkinshaw rims on 255 front & 275 rears.

If only it had a couple more cylinders, story of my life...

An EVC Throttle Controller to plug into the work D40 Manual 5 speedy Navara peddle

Has done absolutely ZERO to the lower ‘torque/inertia:-)’ (2.5L) take-off clutch fanning problem, but Crikey Moses…above 2,500 rpm it’s brought back foolish younger days FJ - Landcrabs full series “pissweak” drive-train sounds/groans of old

planning a solo cape york trip
    thinking of a front locker?
don't really know, i've got pretty good articulation and if I let the tyres way down, she seems to grab/grip reasonably well while the front is in the air.
lot of money for something that won't get used much.
had a front locker in the navara and really liked the control and added stability and sense of security it gave me.
    hmmmm.

Tell me who you get to fit the locker as mine is still in its box.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.
