Been a while.
Last time the big girl was out was thr West Coast of Tassie where it performed exactly how I designed it to work. Bloody love this car.
Every piece of bar work was lent on and scraped. Last weekend I rubbed it all back and gave it another coat of Satin Black with a brush ans it came up like new. Fresh.
Soooooo. $1000 Tk took a swipe at me. Dented the front passenger Door so decided a replacement was the easiest way to fix it. Sourced another door off FB Marketplace for $100 and stripped it down of all mechanisms etc and patched a couple od small dents and got it ready for paint.
Found all the paint left over from the last spray and sourced some more.
Had a couple of dings in the paint around the place and also after getting rained on on paint day pre paint my re-prep ready for paint missed the welds on the roof sliders and I have had a little surface rust bleed there which has pissed me off.
Also top rear corner of drivers D Piller had some rust that I treated last time and had reappeared slightly so went the hack and sorted that as best I can. Shit of a spot to get into but hope i got most of it.

Taped up the roof sliders and washed and kill rusted them and gave them a paint while I had a batch mixed.
Heading away for work this week and hope to put the new door on next weekend.

So pretty happy with how the Passenger Door came out. A couple od runs but I'm not really phased by that, might scratch them off. We will see.
Stripped tye old door fully off the car. Left a Hole!!

Watch out for the door adjustment so it doesn´t pinch the fender at the bottom.

Yeah they are a bit of a bugger for that. Adjustment is a bit of a bugger too damn it, it seems to adjust I have to adjust the fixing to the Body, not the door. These are behind the quarter panel damn it, I didn't want to have to take that off. The flare is bolted to the Quarter And the Barwork, taking that quarter off would be a mission. It's out slightly but I think I can work with it.

The door is on, I got the Body Deadener out and put another coat on both the front and back passenger doors and the refitted the inside skin.
A month ago I stripped off the radius arms and replaced all the bushes and will give the tyres a rotation then its time to get muddy again.
