Currently doing a TB42 to TD42 in a 1989 SWB GQ, looking to find out if a air-con compressor bracket was made from factory to suit the 1992 TD42 silver top block (3 holes) & air-con compressor with 4 x horizontal mount holes ?
HI, I understand that a/c was an Aussie fitted accessory and kits would vary depending on the parts and compressors used. I know ths first hand when trying to replace parts on my GQ - vast difference in parts. Best bet is to head to a wrecker and see if you can find what you want or to a local a/c guy who is handy and willing to make an effort. He should be able to adapt most things from what I have seen. Failing that, jink around in the garage.
Think you are right about the fitting in Aus, I have contacted a few wreckers but no luck will just have to modify the TB bracket to suit doesn't look to hard was just trying to save some time.
OK, they are wreckers so I was thinking they probably have all sorts of brackets off wrecks sitting on a shelf, and with a bit of a photo and description they might be able to locate some options close to what you want. Anyway, looks like you are going to have modify what you have by the sounds of it.
