My Apologies John Mate, I haven’t properly kept up to speed on the Hydro Boost brake modification that you’ve done recently and many other Legends too following suit now.
Is it a complete removal of vacuum brake booster system and hydraulic pump replacement somehow?
Couldn’t trouble you for a website linky thing when time permits please

Marks4WD supply a complete kit for GU Patrols. It’s an AC Delco unit, as fitted to several GM vehicles, and Marks make and fit the adaptor plates and pushrod. The unit replaces the vacuum booster and gets hydraulic pressure direct from the steering pump which is rerouted to the steering box to resume the original steering pressure circuit.
It basically doubles the pressure that can be supplied to the brake circuit so braided brake lines are highly recommended.
The cylinder with the label on it is a gas filled piston that maintains some reserve pressure in case of engine stall. Similar to the small vacuum reserve in stock systems.
@Cremulator did his installation a week or so before me.

Was hoping to depart for urgent NSW work early in the morning utilising the little TB45NA tug boat weapon for our Kanga trailer and gear. Picked up some new 2” shocks and 2” GU springs to handle my guesstimated weight needs with front steel work awaiting fitment ASAP. Whoops…..it’s standing proud at 4” lift now and its rear mini shorty tailshaft unladen is near 5 degrees at least uni joint uneven and vibrating badly
A quick run in another vehicle to Patrolapart to pickup gearbox crossmember dropdown spacers (12mm) and will steal upper adjustable control arms off my GQ ute in the morning for hopefully a half day only delayed departure needed

Cheers Rossco, any chance I can ask a quick run out to your shed measurement pretty please Brother
I’m trying to ascertain what the front measurement from an OEM hard plastic guard base/underneath to our GQ hubs centre is from factory backtracking ? This thing is currently sitting at circa 610mm prior to steel bar and winch fitment tomorrow morning.
Picture with 250kg rear ball weight and no front steel work yet

A quick ring around the Hills, Thankyou Legends for your Time
My best backtracking calculations of various Blokes lifts now put a GQ front OEM bog stock at around 500mm plastic OEM guard base to hub center?
Has anybody out there possibly please got any confirmation of this and or whereabouts to find Mr Nissan’s factory specifications?
