No it's not cheap, but if you keep an eye out it's usually possible to buy some on special somewhere. I just got the owner of the place we are staying at to pick me up 10 litres from Repco in Cairns for $76. Still expensive though. I wont need it for another 4500kms but I like to carry enough with us for an oil change otherwise it's too easy to find ourselves at the mercy of local prices, where if you can get it (in remote areas) can easily be $120 for 10 litres. I also like to carry it just in case I were ever to hole the sump and able to repair it.Originally Posted by Hodge
The Donaldson kits are good value, especially with the blue air filters. But using the CAV pre-fuel filters I seem to slowly increase my stock of standard fuel filters, & there are only so many I can carry around the country. Hence just buying oil filters this time around.
