Just a thought but do the ovens require a clear air gap above them for venting any heat etc? Might be something to double check before using it as a storage area.

Ovens are generally pretty well insulated by their own skin, the heat tends to come from the door area.... but yes, @mudski best to check the individual oven manufacturer for required spacing.

Yeah we've had these ovens in self cleaning mode which means they get real hot and its barely warm on top of the oven, all gets vented out the front.

Lockdown lifting must have also unlocked a high level of "cnut" in some people as of yesty. Holy moly!
High level of unappreciative germs raising tensions because of no power, trees and cables down preventing them getting their caravan out of driveway...
Even the SES legends were not spared from their onslaught. All because their OWN unmaintained tree had a wrestle with mother nature.
Just a small example of cards dealt to us during the early AMs today.
PS. A fair dinkum gum tree limb is still blocking their caravan. We "somehow" didn't have a Stihl big enough for the job.
Justice served.

Read your post to Mrs mudsane. We are appalled at the utter contempt that some grubs show to those trying to help them.

I'm kind of used to and eligible to be on the recieving end of it. I get paid.
Water under a bridge for me.
People pay their bills for electrons to flow to them and when that doesn't happen I can somewhat under stand ...
But when the legendary volunteers are coping it ... That hit the nerve for me.

Mark Knight's cartoon in today's paper is of a tree blocking a car towing a van. How appropriate.

Stupid Halloween.
I'd be more into it if I celebrate it in the same way as Ol' Hickok 45
