Drivers seat snapped
Hi lads,
Went for a trip out bush over the weekend and my driver seat collapsed while going downhill. The steel plate securing the seat to the rail snapped. While I'm a bigger bloke I would have expected the seat to hold me just fine... Has anyone seen this happen before? I know the seats have had their issues but didn't think they just broke this like one did. Also any idea whether I could fix this myself or do I look at replaceing it?

Cheers

My GUIV drivers seat has done the exact same thing. I am able to re-seat the break so i can use the seat but need to remove it and i was going to weld it back to be honest.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Would love some XR6 Falcon seats Mudnut but haven't found any online under $500 for the pair. Would I reuse the rails on the factory GUIV seats for that swap?
Mudrunner do you reckon this is a safety defect that Nissan should be liable to pay? Not too keen on welding but might be the best option for the hip pocket

I reckon it will.be fine to weld to be honest. It is an odd fracture but a small weld will sort it out.
