Signal wire for brake controller.
Just getting peoples ideas ;I need a signal wire or pulse wire that tells the controller the brakes are on so it can send power to the trailer brakes .I'm using the switch on the brake pedal and get a reading from the red and yellow wire when the brake is activated is this the best place to splice in whats your thoughts.
U have 4 choices in life :U can like it; lump it; love it or shove it, take your pick and stick to it !

Mate yes it is the best place just make sure you splice on to the BRAKE light switch and not the CRUISE control switch .
An other hint run all earths back to the battery, don`t just earth out to the body .

Forgot to mention, if possible bring the earth wire for the trailer , caravan, back to the car battery.
99% of electric brake problems are earth related. Running that extra wire will save you from many problems in the future.
