A quick oh hey!!
Hi All,
Good to see a place full of information and answers to so many questions already.
Just wanted to introduce myself and my Rig.
Silver top TD42 turbo swapped 2001 GU Patrol.
Purchased it with the swap already. Fresh 10,000 on the engine since full ground up rebuild.
4 Inch lift with drop boxes and 35s. Gonna be a fun rig.
Few things needing to be fixed like a crunch into 4th (probs replacement trans)
the ever persistent high temps with the A/C on when going faster than 80. EGTs sit at 300-350. Highest ive seen when going up hill was 400.
Thinking clutch fan upgrade or at least a rebuild. As the cooling system was all cleaned and tested 6 moths ago. But worth getting it done again myself.
Will dig into some threads and grab the fsm to do a bit of maintenance and care on the old girl and hopefully have her mint anagin
Over all a bit of a tidy up etc and im happy as.
Cheers

Thanks for the info mate. Ill defs have a read of the thread.
I was leaning towards the radiator or clutch fan - but it was only serviced by the local radiator guy 6 months ago. But will still get it looked at anyway to be sure.

This makes me think it's advisable to do a clutch fan upgrade in general. Is this a common issue in GU Patrol TD42s?
