Look good mate. Maybe some fixed chains to secure it when it's stored incase the rope wears or weakens over time? I've always wanted to do the same thing but I can't fit in the carport..
Edit: looks like you've already got a belt on it

That's a bloody good idea having chains that act as a backup, I hadn't thought of that.
Yes, the strap I have around it at both ends was what I had holding it in place before the hook system. I just left them there for now as a precaution.

That's great. I rigged up something similar for mine (with the rooftop tent) from the old gear I had from the kayaks.....then I realised that I can't fit the patrol in the garage with the tent on....not that it ever goes in there anyway as the Mazda is parked inside...
