Hardcore
I have been thinking about what to say for days.
I lost touch with Roofy and Jane over the last few years and I regret that now.
I enjoyed my times sitting around a campfire chatting and laughing. I enjoyed our trips together whether in the same car or separate cars.
My favourite trip was when Roofy, Katwoman and I got stuck in the Bush (okay I was the one who got bogged) and wondering if we would spend the night in the middle of nowhere.
RIP

A woodland in full color is awesome as a forest fire, in magnitude at least, but a single tree is like a dancing tongue of flame to warm the heart.

I have only been around the forum for a short time (Licola 18 being first met up). I would like to share some comments that Roofy made to me while we were having a yarn by the fire side at Licola:
“they are a real good and genuine lot people here and across the forum”
Craig spoke very admirably of the overwhelming generosity and friendship within this close community. Craig specifically mentioned a time when a forum trip had been arranged, unfortunately he experienced a significant engine failure in his vehicle and the forum got it together, rallied around and pitched in to help him to sort it out.
I cannot recall all the exact details, but he was extremely grateful of all the good will and genuine friendship.
Craig spoke very fondly of you Jane.
I would have loved to been able to get to know him more as we lived our earlier years in the same district.
I will not be with you all in in person on Friday.
John
Like a track on my place, Roofy now at peace, and could tell many a journey story.
Touching works there mate, brought a tear to my eye. Your words resonate my thoughts on Craig exactly. A true gentleman who called it how it was but always saw the greatness in any person. Will be sorely missed around the campfire by many.

Heading to Geo Surverys Hill was one of the best things I've done, what a great adventure and one of the best camps if not the best, just finding a patch in the spinifex miles from anyone was pretty special.

I remember I had a very minor oil leak from the exhaust manifold and was constantly checking it and the oil, worried for the worst but Roofy told me "don't stress, you stress too much young fella". What a wise man and of course he was right and from then I have never stressed over little things no where near as much and don't think I ever will, life long lesson for sure. Thanks again mate.

Just got told tonight of Roofys passing, so I had to sign in and hope AB passes on my condolences to Jane and family. One of the original Dirty Dozen passes, this does not go unnoticed. He was always a gentleman on here. RIP peace Roofy

That just reminded me!!!
Just salvaged this from the harsh elements of the church!!!
It’s in the house now until I can frame it out of the elements and back in the church.
