Half Lap Planning
Well it's been five years since our Cape York sojourn so it's time to plan the next big one.
Once I put this down in writing there's no going back so here goes.
Rough Itinerary:
Ballarat to Marree
Marree to Marla via the Oodnadatta Track
Marla to Uluru and Kata Tjuta then on to Kings Canyon
Alice Springs via the West McDonald Ranges
Litchfield National Park, Darwin then Kakadu
Mataranka to Lorella Springs
Borroloola to Burketown via Lawn Hill
Normanton, Kurumba, Cairns
Leisurely trip down the east coast to get home.
All up about 13,000 km and a good bit of dirt road in that.
We'll be stopping at all interesting spots along the way and don't have a time limit (just need to convince my wife of this bit). Caravan is fully self contained so aiming to free camp as much as possible.
Cheers
Jack

Sounds good, possibly with the exception of the busy crowded & expensive east coast!

There is method in my madness, hence the East Coast is on the homeward leg.
