Butcher Country/Caledonia River valley closed until Nov
Guys, just read the following regards access to this area, direct off the CFA website
The following tracks are closed and will remain closed over the seasonal winter closure period until November 1.
This is to enable soil stabilisation and for public safety after heavy use by firefighting vehicles and machinery over the past two months.
Dingo Hill Track
Scrubby Hill Track
Caledonia River Track
Butcher Country Track
Butcher Country Link Track
The Tamboritha, Howitt and Moroka Roads all remain open providing access to numerous visitor locations across the Southern Alps. Access to Wonnangatta Valley remains open from Licola, Dargo, Mansfield and Myrtleford. Iconic walking destinations such as Mount Howitt and Tali Karng will also remain open.
Not surprising based on the dust and subsequent slurry that would have occurred atfer the first heavy downpour. I would think the access gates will be closed, but unsure about the approach from the Blue Hills end, which could be a bit of a pain as we recently found out.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.
