lol all jokes aside guys
Im a fussy buyer and when I was looking I was happy to pay abit extra if the car was a truly clean example.
Yes there is a general indication of market value but some people will low ball you.
Some picky people are willing to pay extra but for the right vehicle.
As they say. Car is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.
The patrol is such a popular 4wd you see so many for sale ranging from raped molested examples to pristine almost new setup for touring quality ones.

Yeah I saw that too and thought of this post.
The 40k car in the add here doesn't even have 5k of barwork. Still wearing an alloy front bar and no wheel carrier.. for $40k it would have to be set up for Outback Touring with all the bling. Plus a Cross Country cooler, a 12mm pump. A Borg Warner, 160rwkw and 100,000kms on the clock. Then I'd be arguing value for money. Can't call it a barn find. Still think hea dreaming.
I paid $7k more for my GUIV TD42Ti in ST model over a 4.8 TI of the same year with all the Nissan Fruit and was happy to pay the premium. This guys dreaming though.
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!
....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I paid 29k for my 2003 model advertised 32 500
Its a Td42ti
3 inch Taipan Xp exhaust
Fridge slide
2 inch Bilstein lift
Harrop Rear E locker
Large top mount Intercooler

Most I saw were quite rough. This one wasn't perfect but best I could find.

My bro in law is currently trying g to sell his TD42 Series 1 gas injected wagon, I think for a reasonable (adjustable) Price. He's had no interest what so ever.

Just curious Darren.
If you were in the market for a Patrol right now. Would you spend $40-45+ for a super nice 4.2 Y61, thats 12+ years old or would you consider adding say $5-10k, and getting a V8 Y62 thats no mor than 3-4 years old ?

I think that would be the gas IMHO. It isnt very good for the motor in the long run.
