Hi mate,
Nice work. did you fuse it? and are you running more than 1? what will you do with the gap?
Consider one of these and maybe fit another 2

Or a blank perspex cover to mount it or rip the face off the ashtray and mount into that.
Alternatively put the ashtray in and mount beside it but you would need to cut into the console. Good job having a go mate.
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!
....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Yeh its fused. I kinda cheated. Ive got a roof mounted dvd player which is fused and switched so i just piggy backed off the dvd switch.
I intend on making it look alot neater. This was just a quick job (wanted it in quick as we have gone away for weekend n wanted it in the back for kids) with a piece of perspex my best mate cut out for me at his work.
Probably wont need another one in there.
Didnt think of ripping the ashtray cover off. Might have to look into that. Cant remember if i threw it out. Cheers for the idea mate

Patrol God
Most ppl make a plate the same shape as the ash tray lid and cut 3 holes to except carling style swithes.
If enough are interested Ill cut a heap in SS they wont break the bank. looks tidier as well
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

I did a similar thing there but left the ash tray intact. Remove the ashtray to get to the fuse panel mounted behind it.
The red rings under the outlets are just to indicate 'always on' connected to the second battery.
And more mounted elsewhere.
