Snorkel for GQ TD42
Hi all
Just wondering what snorkel I would be best to go for. To have a 4" Stainless Steel forward facing stainless one with a safari air ram head fitted at On Track Fabrications is 950$. Moonlight fabrications would fit me a rearward facing 4" Stainless one for 850$. However I really like the flash look of the new Safari one and its only 330$ online. Can you guys tell me if these are all reasonable prices?
I'm not too keen on fitting a snorkel myself unless any of you can tell me it's easy enough to with my limited experience.
Upon really considering it, I am not pushing big horsepower and don't even plan to fit a turbo, so if I decide to go for a Safari one (which I think I will do), do I buy the one that discards the precleaner (SS13R) or should I buy one that keeps the precleaner (SS10R)?? I am pretty confused by what all this means, maybe you guys can help me?...
Cheers

Legendary
Mate I bought three snorkell's all for GQ's and had the guy come from Melbourne to Glenrowan and fit two of them all for $330 total .
I did have to show him a secret hunting spot for Sambar but figure it was worth it .
Obviously knock of units but still going strong on mine and it's copped a hammering .

The safari one will do the job fine. I retained the pre filter on my GQ for years and used it as the primary filter supplying the turbo for many years. The new safari snorkel is bigger than the old ones and will supply your engine with all the air you need especially if your not fitting a turb o.
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!
....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
