Where am I going to fit this on my patrol? Do I even need it? When will I have the time to fit it? Soooooo many opportunities for further questions, so thanks MB. Looks good though!

I fitted my Glind heat exchanger and a Shurflo pump in the spot where the dual battery would normally go. (My dual battery is mounted in the back) I have the Glind plumbed up with a Thermostatic mixing valve (TMV), so if the water flow is stopped it will still maintain the same temp when the shower is turned on again. The TMV works well and there is only a slight variation in water temp for a second or two if the shower is stopped and started.
There is no way I could get the water hot enough on one pass, but this is ok, as we recirculate 5 litres of water for a shower anyway. We use a collapsible tub that we stand in and recycle the water, running it through a 40 micron filter in the pick up line. This means we can use 5 litres of water and have an awesome hot shower for as long as we want. Comes in handy every few days on the more remote trips where water is scarce.
I ran out of time to give this a full on test today, but hoping I can test it properly during the week as we head off next weekend for 6 weeks.

We'll be heading from Perth across the Anne Beadell, then up to Old Andado and across the Madigan line, ending up at the Gold coast for a wedding. Then up to Fraser Island for 5 nights and back via Alice,West Macs,Uluru, Great Central rd. The route home is not set in stone yet, but we have all the permits required for the route West-East. We are leaving on Sunday or Monday, so counting the sleeps now. The trip is just the missus and myself solo vehicle, and we are both looking forward to a decent break from the routine.
