Just be aware welding to a vehicle chassis may not be legal in some states, doing the same mudflaps, but with a "bolt on" version like a large U bolt as they use to mount sliders, would be another way to get the same results without any legal issues, bolt on would also allow you remove the support arm easy, should you happen to bend it off roading ?
