Has it just started doing it? Has it been getting worse or all of a sudden?
If it turned over it should start. The NATS (Nissan Anit THeft System) cuts off the fuel solenoid on teh back of the pump and it could be your problem.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I'm sure someone with descent lecky advice will be along shortly to assist mate. My only guess would be solenoid thingy issues off your starter motor mate?

@Yendor might be able to guide you mate, I have experienced this on a TD42 but not a ZD30. Search the forum for NATS and or Immobiliser fault and you will find some info. When did you fit the battery?

G'day and welcome mate. If its turning over slowly, it may be the starter nmotor atself or corrosion on the 12v main lead or terminal causing high resistance. After trying a couple of time, check the terminals at the starter motor end and the battery end and see if they are hot. that would indicate a high resistance joint.
