Mitchell River and Deptford area
A few pics from last week just after easter. Had a great little break exploring around Mitchell River National Park and near Bruthen with the fam. Had planned on heading up to Coberas area but decided to stay a little longer at Mitchell River as it was so beautiful there and then just checked out somewhere close so headed to a little camp near Bruthen called Deptford.

The first day was pretty wet but added to the scenery I reckon.

Heaps of Curajong trees and pretty awesome warm temperate rainforest in the gorges.

Went up to Mt Delusion in the fog. Nearly 1400m but no view just trees and fog.

Did a day trip up to Haunted Stream also which was awesome. Unfortunatly the top section was closed but we headed up a spur and back down to the top of it. Theres supposed to be about 50 something crossings if you do the whole thing. Pretty cool narrow little track carved into the rock in ye olde gold mining days. . . Tough times!!

Was a pretty cool mine that one. Wasn't sign posted or on the map so was a nice surprise. Went a fair way in but there were a heap of bats roosting so didn't want to disturb them too much so turned around. . . Love exploring all the mining stuff.

Great photos Rossco, looks like you had a good time.
It's great country up there, always wish I had more time to explore -- always seem to be in a rush to get from A to B though!
