Hi all. Put a new starter battery in yesterday. However the negative post is a little smaller/thinner than the previous battery. As such the negative terminal is a little loose. Any suggestions to fix

Sounds right,,,,,, You may need to grab the correct terminal.
What size were the 2 batteries. What do you drive BTW

Thats because there are a few of different manuf standards around the world for battery compression terminal post sizeing, DIN and JIS to name a couple of common ones.
PIA I know but anyway...
Depending on the terminal you can try running a hacksaw blade down the slot to remove a bit of material so the jaws clamp further or replacing the existing terminal with a correct spec.
There are a few more butcher shop options but none that I would rely on.
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.
Drive a series 3 zd30. Not sure on the the old battery size. It looks like the negative terminal is hard wired for the earth I'm guessing. I thought there may have been adapters to put on the post?
"JIS to DIN adapter" is essentially a 2mm thick x 40mm strip of lead wrapped around the post.

Easy as get down to super cheap and
grab an earth lead the correct size and length
Dont forget to give the terminal posts a rub with
a green scourer, ask permission first eh
