So I want to protect the old girl now that I've tarted her up with a respray and the Missus's legs seemed to have shrunk after the 2' lift by running a side bar and chassis mounted side step combo .Who has the best side rails and step in a one piece setup for the 1999 Nissan winch bar cab chassis, any input would be valued and photos please if you can.
U have 4 choices in life :U can like it; lump it; love it or shove it, take your pick and stick to it !
are you after a rock slider style or a proper side step, I have TJM outback side steps and love them.
they have copped a beating now and again and still straight. Not sure whats available for the GQ though

3dogs after side bars and a proper step setup and was looking at the TJM they are only for the banks on the tele track and around mackay after the wet .its a GU series 1 1999.
Mega got a Boilie at work who will add a couple of braces extra to the TJM's as hes done for his Criuser .

I think the issue is more the thickness of the steel used. My new ones without brushbars weigh twice what the tjm did. And the tjm ones will flex a lot if you try to jack using them. But the wife prefers the tjm as the step is lower and flat.
Seeing you're in Mackay go to TJM and ask for Danette
you can mention you know John from outback ideas.
you might get a bit off worth a try..IMO
Thats if you decide to go that way.
PM me your details and Ill let Danette know in advance that you'll be popping in
