Where to fit BCDC1240??
K Gents
Where have you mounted your smart BCDC1240?
I have just purchased one to do away with the SBI 12v Isolator.
Now i just need the best spot to mount it.
Cheers

WHat car mate? THis is where my one is fitted on the 3L. I made a stand off bracket off the body.
My 4.2 L is now a different setup but in the same area. Will take a pic when I'm done.

I have the 1220 in the engine bay and it seems to work ok. A couple of mates also have them there. It is a shorter unit though and fits near the battery.

I had mine under the bonnet on the driver's side above the brake booster but it was getting way too hot and I couldn't see what the thing was doing either, so I mounted it under the dash on the driver's side and used heavier gauge wires as was recommended in the destructions.

Hi CJ, sorry no I don't but it is screwed to the plastic panel alongside the steering column if that helps? No issues with knees or shins hitting it either (I was going to mount the UHF there but it was too big)
