My advice is: not to follow my advice.
Yeah that is the primary reasons for not completely removing the body lift. I kept 20mm blocks to ensure that it would clear. Glad I did cause finding another 20mm under the bonnet would be impossible. I think I have enough in my IC to adjust to close the bonnet but another 20mm would smash me
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

So got back on the GQ this Arvo. Finished tightening all the body bolts and finalized the body lift reduction. Very pleased.
Then the daunting. Lifted the bonnet and started on the intercooler.
Out she comes
Couldn't remember how to remove the heat shield...... Figured it out!
Out with the 9" grinder for some slight adjustments!!
Test fitted to intercooler back in and shot this vid with my iPhone in the engine bay. We are close! Very close!!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk cause AB turned it back on!!

So with the body lift gone I am glad I drilled these holes for the top of the front shocks or they are never coming out!!!

Been busy!
Are you spraying the guards yourself?
Also I wonder if you could find some rubber bungs to in the shock tower holes, it might help keep dirt out out the engine bay?

Your shock tower will hit the body, the top of my shocks punched holes in those humps without a body lift
