Paule's GU 3
G'day folks, thought I'd start a thread about my beast. Well yesterday I got my DPchip installed. All I can say is WOW. Taking off from a standing start it has improved out of sight. It used to feel like a slug, now it feels like its got heaps of getup and go. I didn't think it would of made such a dramatic improvement. To say I'm happy is an understatement.

I was the opposite, I didn't really notice that much difference until I wanted to overtake then it was zoom. Loved it.

G'day guys and gals, I havnt posted on here for a while so I thought I'd give ya's an update. I have been in hibernation. So I got Big Fletcha's old bull bar (genuine Nissan winchbar) I've sandblasted it and powder coated it black. Come up like brand new. Which made the bumperettes and indicator surrounds look shabby. I tried all sorts of things on the bumperttes to no avaial. I wasn't to keen on $180 a pair from Nissan so I tried some rubberized paint for bumpers. Sprayed about three coats on the suckers and they came up a treat. I also did the indicator surrounds with a couple of coats. Looks great. Then went back into hibernation for a while to get some more coin.
Got my self a runva 11xp with the red rope and fitted it up to the bar while it was still sitting in the shed.
Fitted the bar onto the car last week with a hand from my brother. (heavy as with the winch in).
Now I'm just looking into 2" lifts as the weight on the front has got it sitting like a 70's hot rod. Lol
I am on a budget so any recemendatios would be great.
I got all my info on here about flipping the winch etc etc so thanks to every one on here for all your info. You made the job easy👍.

The master farter
Welcome back mate. I was wondering about you the other day. Mate if this helps you out i still have my old 2inch OME springs and shocks here you can borrow if ya want until you get some coin together. Shocks still seem ok, i think all the bushes are on the shocks, id have to check if your keen. The springs have sagged, but nothing a set of spring spacers wont fix. Lol.
You got my number mate. Give me a call.
Edit : you know the rules. Pics bud!

Ok ok I'll get some pics soon. Lol. I'll have to get my head around how to do it. I'm hopeless at the whole technology thing.
So I fitted up my 2" lift yesterday. Kings springs and cheap foam cell shocks. Had a couple of dramas like not being able to remove one of the front bump stops due to a rusty/rounded nut. Also had some issues with removing one of the front shocks but got there in the end.
It sits really nice now and surprisingly has fixed my steering issue with it pulling to left.
Im still not sure how it fixed my steering as I only fitted springs and shocks with new rubber bushes in the shocks.
The only thing I can think of is that the front diff wasn't sitting square and now it is but not sure.
Any suspension guru that can tell me why? Id appreciate the info as I'm one of those people that like to know how and why.
Thanks guys and girls for reading. 👍

I'm no guru, but I can't see how it would change anything, anyway sounds like a win win.
What's next on the to do list?
