Yellow/amber light cuts thru fog thats why street lamps in foggy areas are yellpw/amber in colour.

As said above the hid and led lights give you a white out effect because they are higher up in the colour spectrum. I'm not sure where you live and how many lights you're allowed to have but If I was I your position I would have halogen +100 headlights like et said, a pair of yellow fog lights and either a light bar with spot and spread combo or a spot and spread spotlights pending on how much room you have on your bull bar of course
