Not planning anything at the moment, but doing it because I can.

I've seen them bend and anything to stop this is always good in my eyes.
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Hahaha. Thanks. You never said anything about wanting it back.

Yeah, if you have the time and motivation, why not. Keeps you busy and out of other trouble.

Again, it reinforces my observation of how thorough you like to be. Good stuff.
    Thanks, Cameron

    Thanks CGM! Appreciated.

I really enjoy welding. Feels very rewarding when it just works nicely. Unfortunately in my job, very little is welded on aircraft, it's all alloy and rivets.

Have ripped the head liners out and am very happy to see zero rust in the sills. It's perfect. But this didn't stop me from drowning them in penetrol anyway.

I need to remove the double sided tape now but it's very tacky. Anyone have any good tips for removing it?

Yep I know, but I get a lot of enjoyment just from working on it.

Noticed that the metal frames that run on the insides of the roof are glued onto the external skin. Some of the joins had delaminated which would cause a knocking sound when flexing. Nothing that some sikaflex would fix though.

Filled the roof supports with 3 and a half tubes of sikaflex and started with the sound deadener.

Went around and tapped on the bare metal panels looking for any hollow or noisy areas. B pillar and the front section that holds the mirror and sun visors were offenders and covered.

The noise reduction has been good. I still have foam to put down that will help improve things. The main thing that I'm absolutely amazed with and so is my wife, who normally doesn't really notice anything is the temperature drop in the cabin when parked in the sun. Absolutely amazing!
