7zip is free mate, I use it all the time...big tick for me.

I had another go and it stalled. Seriously, thanks for the replies, but I am now going to drop kick the computer out the door. I will try again tomorrow.

I got given an arduino eleven and I am trying to unzip the driver files so that windows recognises the device. One of the kids now needs my computer to do homework. Ho Hum

Do you have a link 2 the driver files?
Are you sure its a compressed file?

If so, check your PM. I have downloaded the ZIP file and have created a self extracting file from it for you.
Follow the instructions in the PM and you can then install the device.
