These are the kinda welding projects that are good for bettering your welding. Jigs are your friend, everything is exactly the same and its quick. I'll probably tack up a stand so i can rotate the entire slider on at a nice comfortable height.

Looking good mate. I highly recommend that you plan to put flat plate on the underside of your sliders. The cross bars end up doing way way more damage than having no sliders at all would have done. They tend to grab stuff and smash it into the sill. I have had a brach the size of my wrist come up through the floor under the passenger seat after nagging on a slider mount at 40km/h
When I did my strip down I did the Sill repairs to each pint and then welds flat on the bottom and checker on the top of the sliders. Sooooo much better.
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

A mob called Davond made the only true sill protector slider I have ever seen, mainly Range Rover though
@ MR you're right about those cross bars causing more problems than are needed
looking really good
