In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.

Are those prices still current ?? Maybe some one could get latest pricing
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
I run Mickey Thompson ATZ 4 Ribs 285X70X17, but they are noisy, much noisier than the 285X75X16 FC IIs I ran before.
The ATZs are, however, a great compromise tyre for the varied running I do, mostly gravel, some tar, desert sand and rough fire trails.
After 20,000ks of varied surfaces no chips, cuts or punctures, I'm happy.

I'm a bit keen on the Cooper ST Maxx 285/75/16 but not so keen on the $392 each here in Clare!!
2011 ST, Steel bulbar, warn winch, snorkel, arb rear bar, uhf, dual batteries, on board compressor, 2" OME suspension
When it comes to tyres I think it really comes down to personal preference. I have fitted Kumho KL78s 265/75r16 to my troll and I can not go past them for value for money. It is an all terrain tread with 10ply and a load rating of 123. At $250 a tyre fitted, and never had a puncture and have gone everywhere my traveling mates have gone with their big aggressive mud patterns, I don't think they should be underestimated.

I've got BFG's At 33/12,5/15 on my truck and I'm happy with it. Very good for sand, good for black road and not that bad for a light mud.
