Bent up Sill

I dont want to stuff my slide hammer up for future use, what if I were to weld nuts to the sill and screw the hammer into them to do the pulling, then just break the nuts off when finished?

It would work - as it is all about improvising, but you would have a fair bit of grinding/cleaning up to do with this method.

Spent yesterday pulling the dent down and out, now I've pulled it too far, am thinking about cutting a window in the sill cutting out the worst bit and use dollies etc to straighten things up then close the window by welding a plate over it, will cut a section from an old door I have, then bog the inperfections. But my mate says thats too hard work and recons to bash in what I pulled out too far, but can figure how he expects to get a flat straight edge with out having a dolly of some discription on the inside of the sill to hit against...

I would have been happy if that is all that was done to my sill, ming bent up to the point that the side of the sill was flat under the door.. As per the pic's I posted

Just tap it back in if you have pulled it too far.

If you have stretched it too much, once you have tapped it back, you can try shrinking it a little with an Oxy Set
