Angry Revs pick up when in Park

    HELP

I just noticed that when I put my vehicle in park the revs went up over 1200.
this continued until it stopped AIR is off. When driving normal revs but only when stopped and put in park it just started this morning.

    Is something sticking ?

I agree with Mega and stropp. Here is the page out of the manual that tells you what conditions need to be present for the speed to increase.

Where is the idle up switch? Why i don't have one

    Is this a diesel thing?

Yes, I have been drinking, forgive me. It doesn't make me a bad person.

    Similar problem

Our patrol has had the same problem 3 times after long trips. not the idle switch. Mechanic has replaced sensor twice, problem just happened again.
