Hey mate, do you mean are the fuel pumps the same or the transfer sub tank pump?
Just confirming what conversion you are actually doing, are you converting a diesel td42, 2.8 or 3 litre to a petrol engine and what vehicle?
What engine are you going to and what do you have currently?
What AB said, Cobber... we need more info to answer your Q
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.
doh i can see i didn't give enough info, sorry
i'm thinking about transferring a rd28 to a petrol engine (at this stage, possibly the ford 4.0l turbocharged inline 6)
i'm wondering if the transfer fuel pump between the sub and the main tanks is the same between the diesel and the petrol patrols (ie, can i leave the tanks in place and pump petrol from sub to main without concern)
i'm expecting the sender unit from the main tank to the fuel rail will need to be upgraded to a higher-pressure unit, for the e.f.i. engine
Mate between the two tanks as long as it pumps is no problem and as you say the xr6t will need an upgraded pump.

diesel pumps are different, they use the diesel to lube the pump so i would think the pump will burn out if used for petrol.
