Vic meet up report - 3rd Jan 2012 - Kinglake and Rocky Track
What a great trip and thanks to all who came along. We had an absolute blast!
Lets put any photos, vids and chats about it in this thread.
We started off in Kinglake National Park. Lots of tight tracks, deep ruts, trenches and bog holes and then moved onto the challenging Rocky Track on the side of the Toolangi State Forest.
Rocky track is so much fun....Very steep, very rocky and just keeps going up and up...lol...There are some extremely steep bits where you just keep bunny hopping, hoping your tyres bite in and some of us lost some lugs from that track but I'm sure we can all agree it was worth it!!!!!!!!!
I have some videos of everyone which I will put up here tonight.
I just took Rosscos camera and found these photos below of myself going up Rocky Track. This track without a doubt has been one of my favourite climbs to date.
You'll love the videos coming soon!!!!
EDIT:
Added some more videos below from my friends Iphone.
Unfortunately he has recorded everything in portrait mode which ruins the films but anyways....Here they are.
Had an absolute ball ,beasty went where the big boys went
couple of hick ups but hey beasty is still underdeveloped
and still close to stock stanard,we had a crack at rocky track
didnt get all the way to the top but close hey standard road tyres
dont forget, and tank had to snig me of a slippery knob again just
roadys lost traction cause they was slicks but went every where
they did
AND THE BBQ WAS GREAT WE SHOULD HAVE MORE OF THEM
THE COMPANY WAS EXCELLENT TOO
