on a serieus note al thats left is for me to aquire a set of manual locking hubs now leaning to ward AVM's as they proved fantastic on the old paj (yes i know scotty i mentioned that word agian lol)

X2 - they'll die a death pretty quick under the load you put on the right boot ... walk up the side of Camp Road at Landcruiser and you'll see a beautiful endorsement of AVM hubs - heaps of them shattered beside the track!!

reason i was looking at manual locking hubs is because i have been warned that with the auto lokka in the front and auto hubs theres a risk that they may still lock in 2wd around town got that tit bit from Bruce(i think) from torqe 4x4

on the flip side it would be easier to replay AVM then replace CV's yes/no ????

yes you dont even need to take the wheel off.... BUT you cant garentee that the hub will break chromoly cv will help make the hubs the weak point that reinforcing ring is only to stop the hub housing from shattering.. my advice id go genuine
