A couple of friends who used to drive interstate trucks used to put an empty coke can full of petrol in each of their tanks. Thats like 300 ml in about 200 litres. I wouldn't go for much higher ratio than that.

i did that when running the semi's overnight, however, we found out it burns the injector tips, we then went to the 2 stroke oil and had no problems for the same proformance
yeah I wa told a cap of unleaded in tank of diesel acts like injector clean
Iv'e been on the 2 stroke bandwagon for about 8 months, and wont look back, Originally a diesel mech. told me about it after replacing the top seal on my IP, Since 2004 the sulfer gone from 5000 PPM to anything between 10 and 50 PPM, and sulfer is the main lube in diesel. He said from about 6 months after the low sulfer was introduced he was getting two or three diesels in a week with stuffed, dried out and cracked seals. And before that he would do one pump every month or so. Alot of the newer IP's have Viton seals that is not affected by the low sulfer. I done a few jar tests with 50/50 diesel and different types of 2 stroke the best i found was castrol Activ 2t full mineral, the diesel absorbed it without even shaking it. Some of the semi synthetics went abit cloudy when mixed. My benefits have been quieter motor, less smoke, and ive gone from 14-15Litres/100 K's down to 11-12 litres/100 k's. Also has a little more get up down low. Cant see anything getting damaged at 200:1 ratio, as the mechanic said its oil in oil. Also at around $2-3 a tank its cheaper than any other additive ive used and you actually notice it doing something.

Ive tried using 2 stroke oil in my fuel at various ratios back to back same runs etc. and found it made no difference to the fuel consumption over the time i used it the only thing different i found was i had to add the oil to the tanks when i filled up.Just curious as to why people want to add petrol to a diesel engine remember petrol is a solvent one of the reasons i don't use bio blends while it can enhance combustion it negates the lubricity of the diesel fuel.

So has anyone done this in there Patrol yet ' if so how did you go and how much unleaded did you use ? Cheers guys .
I used to put 10% PULP into my old 1HZ, 400,000+ k's and never had a problem with it.
I personaly never had an issue with doing it, that amount of k's and the Pump was never off
If i had a Diesel again it would be copping the same treatment![]()
Did you get any better fuel consumption when using ULP Mav.
