new but not so new

Hi all, I have been a member for a few years, but had to make a new profile because somehow, I couldn't sign in. Anyway, my Patrol livery has now come down to one from 3.
I am in the process of rebuilding my G60 with a few custom bits, but without reinventing the wheel so to speak.
I am putting a sd33turbo with 5 speed in, mid mounted custom fuel tank, custom front and rear bars, parobolic leaf springs, etc etc etc.
All the chassis work is done, driveline is in (custom tailshaft picked up today), custom exhaust.
starting work on the panels as soon as my health allows me to cope with even the slightest of fumes, even a dirty cleaning tub can send me in a spin, not fun!
So that's where I am at this time around.
The aim of this car, is to combine with my grandson on a 3 track cleanup of the Simpson for my 80th birthday and his 30th.
We are Outback Cleanups Australia, a charity started by my grandson, simply to clean up the bush. It should be a fun time getting this car finished and out where she belongs... in the desert.
