Hi all. Just joined the forum because I'm thinking about buying a Y62 Patrol. I tow an Australian Off Road Quantum Plus pop-top (2.4 tonne GTM) and like getting out into remote parts of central Oz. My current tow vehicle is a 2016 Ford Ranger XLT - it's ok, but a bit more power and comfort wouldn't go astray. From what I've read in the threads on this forum the Y62 should be able to handle Opal fuel in the outback which was one of my first thoughts. Not sure if I'd have to go for aftermarket suspension with a van of this weight? Maybe a 50mm lift as well? I will be following the forum with interest, and looking to learn as much as I can.
