Yeah I wanted to try something cheaper this time. Im hoping the port in the barrel will turn out. I did soak and wash out the barrel a few time to get rid of the timber smell, as I didn't want this in the port. But the smell is still evident. Maybe 200ml of whiskey in with the port might help.
