So I just wanted to get some clarification on the diff/gearbox/transfer breathers in the newer GUs.
What I can see on mine is the breather lines come up from the various cases into the bottom of the engine bay (see below)
The breather lines are the front 3. I believe the two behind are vacuum lines for the rear locker.

From there they go into this plug in the left of the engine bay above the front left wheel arch. With the 2" lift in my vehicle that plug ends up just over 1m from the ground

So what happens to them on the other side of there? Are they just open or are there filters or one-way valves attached?
My friend is wanting to do a "river" crossing and I'd like to sort out any shortcoming in the breathers before then.
...and yes, I realise the rear diff needs attention due to it being much lower than the others.
