Question on winches

Thanks, and I understand the dangers and easily things can go wrong.
But at this stage I am just looking at getting a winch first before I look at recoveries.


I am still torn between the fully sealed submersible Smittybilt but only 10k or 12k Runva with more Hp

The link below says that the Runva is "extremely water tight with heavy duty seals"
